Mark Zuckerberg recently spent some time coming up with his own Smart Home system that he's dubbed Jarvis, after Iron Man's digital home assistant.

It's basically a server that he's hand coded (100 hours of time) to integrate the various systems already installed in his home.

It's interesting to see what systems that one of the worlds greatest tech experts uses considering his almost limitless budget. It's re-assuring to see that he uses Sonos audio for his music linked to Spotify.

Face recognition also features on the front door, automatically allowing access to people that it recognises and who have authorisation.

You can read more of his project below. Mark's a mover and shaker so it will be interesting to see if some of these ideas become pet projects or if he's active in helping make API's more open so others can do similar things more easily.
